A Backpack Buddies Update from Ashley Altman

We are delighted to welcome Ashley Altman, School Counselor and Backpack Buddies Coordinator at Forest View Elementary School in Durham, where our club provides supplemental nutrition over weekends to 24 food-insecure children and their families every week during the school year.

Ashley has coordinated the selection of recipients for our food packages, among her many other contributions to the welfare of some 800 students at Forest View, since the inception of our involvement.

She will share insights into the significant impact which our club’s signature Service Project have had on the lives of these young students.
